AgeFriendly2017Monaghan Age Friendly Business week - Friday 1st December – Friday 8th December 2017

The business community in County Monaghan have embraced the Age Friendly Business Programme with great enthusiasm following its launch last year. Almost one hundred and thirty businesses committed to being more age friendly and to support older customers in our communities.

To celebrate the success of the 2016 Age Friendly Business Programme in the county we are now organising Monaghan’s second “Age Friendly Business week”. This county wide event will be an opportunity to showcase and highlight the changes big and small the business community in Monaghan are implementing as part of the Age Friendly Programme. The following are just some of the initiatives happening all over County Monaghan as part of this wonderful programme.

  • Special offers for older customers,

  • Information events for older customer

  • Changes to the layout of your premises

 

County Monaghan Age Friendly Business week will run from Friday 1st December to Friday 8th December 2017. During this week we are asking participating businesses to highlight the initiatives they have rolled out or wish to roll out as part of the Age Friendly Business Programme. We would also encourage businesses to put in place some special one off initiatives for this week or take the week as an opportunity to launch or promote a new venture in your business.

 

What you need to do to take part
Monaghan County Council will promote the Age Friendly Business Calendar through the local media, social media and across our community groups to make sure as many people as possible are aware of all the great things happening in the business community for older people living in and visiting Monaghan. All participating businesses will receive Age Friendly Business week posters and will be included in the Age Friendly Business week calendar that will be printed in the Northern Standard.
